Water sports, a tradition in Millstatt

Swimming and water sports on Lake Millstatt have been a tradition forover one hundred years. Anearly morning dip and the summer freshness of the lake is, for many Millstätter, daily enjoyment or a sporting passion.

Whether swimming, tower jumping or water-ball, Millstätter athletes were successfully represented at various European Championships and Olympics. The nearly one-hundred-year-old landmark of Millstatt - the jumping tower, bears witness to this early and long water sports tradition and the close relationship between the Millstätter and the water.
