For your safety during your stay at the hotel

  • What precautions have we taken at the hotel? We follow the recommendations of the Austrian Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES) and implement the hygiene standards specified by the authorities in the hotel.

Cancellation reasons & costs

  • Cancellation because departure/entry is not officially possible on the day of arrival: In this case, no cancellation fees will be charged.
  • Cancellation because the company prohibits (official) travel or subsequently demands quarantine: If the prohibition of the business trip is not justified by an official measure (travel prohibition to a certain country), cancellation costs will be incurred, which the employer must reimburse you. It is important to clarify this with your employer in advance.
  • My wife, my children or I are ill and cannot travel? Any cancellation fees will be charged. We recommend travel cancellation insurance from ERV

Travel insurance

  • I have taken out insurance through the Europäische Reiseversicherung. What does this insurance cover? ERV insurance covers any cancellation costs, less the deductible, if the guest himself or one of his fellow travellers is ill with Coronavirus. A medical certificate is required. Cancellation costs are not covered in the event of epidemics during the holiday period.   •  I took out home insurance. What does the home insurance cover? The home insurance covers any cancellation costs, less the deductible (20-30%), if the guest or one of the fellow travellers is ill with Coronavirus. A medical certificate is required. Cancellation costs are not covered in the event of pandemics and epidemics, or if a high security level or travel warning is issued for Austria during the holiday period.

Quarantine in the hotel

  • Who would pay for the meals if you were locked in the hotel? Finally, the obligations to pay in the case of a "forced stay" on holiday and beyond due to a quarantine have unfortunately not yet been clarified. However, there are substantial indications that the costs are not or not completely to be borne by the holidaymaker himself.

  • The village Millstatt am See: Our village is situated 600m above sea level surrounded by forest, mountains and Lake Millstättersee. The village Millstatt has a manageable size with about 900 inhabitants. The district town Spittal/Drau has 16.000 inhabitants and is 15 minutes away by car. Our region is located away from a conurbation. The village Millstatt has no railway station.
  • Where do our guests come from? The guests of the region come mainly from Germany and Austria. International guests from other areas are seldom to be found, as our region has only small, family-run businesses.
  • Medical care: 2 doctors are within 3 minutes walking distance from the hotel. The nearest hospital is 15 km away in Spittal/Drau.
