As K.u.K. Hoffischer, our family has been closely connected to the lake and nature on a daily basis for over 100 years. The lake not only provides a habitat for countless fish, but also for many small creatures, crustaceans, plankton,.. We take our research boat to the southern shore of Lake Millstätter See and examine the life and water on the boat and on the shore. The southern shore is protected under Natura 2000.
Peter's sister Ursula is a freshwater biologist (limnologist) and has introduced him to the research.

- Recognising the age of fish by their scales
- Researching water from the depths of the lake, taking water samples at different depths
- Collect, identify and grind shore stones Duration approx. 2 hours.
